Being environmentally smart does not have to be hard. But it does require supervision. ducduc owns it's own New England based manufacturing, so they know: the hardwoods are sustainably harvested from regional forests so as to minimize their carbon footprint; the factory employs a lean manufacturing system that dramatically reduces energy requirements and waste; the finishes are non-toxic and Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAPs) free; and the products do not contain MDF or particle board.
